Singapore, 11 November 2025
At Horizon Fast Ferry, safety is not just a standard; it is our highest promise. Because we take this responsibility seriously, we want to express our deepest apologies for the incident involving our vessel Horizon 9 on 10 November 2025, and to provide this statement to address and clarify any concerns you may have.
While en route to HarbourFront Centre, the ferry came into contact with the Marshall Islands registered tanker La Digue off Singapore’s Southern Islands. The cause is under investigation, and we are fully cooperating with the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) to support their ongoing work. We plan to share updates once findings are available, as part of our commitment to openness and to maintaining the trust you place in us.
We are deeply grateful that all 165 passengers and 7 crew were safe, and that no injuries or pollution were reported. We understand this experience may have been unsettling, and we are truly sorry for the concern and inconvenience caused.
As part of our safety commitment, Horizon 9 will remain temporarily out of service until investigations are complete, ensuring that every future journey meets the highest standards of safety and care. We have also begun a comprehensive internal review to further strengthen our safety systems and ensure every journey remains secure and comfortable.
Your safety and trust mean everything to us, and we remain committed to upholding the highest standards of care.
