2019 Christmas Buffet and Dinner Recommendation in Singapore

HO HO HO SAY LIAO. It’s another round of Christmas feasting! From turkey to log cakes, to steak and seafood and everything else between. Here’s our specially curated places for a memorable Christmas in Singapore 2019.

Porta

First up Porta. This restaurant is a restaurant-cum-grocer serving modern European cuisine. The decor has a nice modern colonial vibe and the place is kids friendly. It is helm by executive chef Michael Suyanto who has spent 12 years cooking in the kitchens of luxury hotels and the Les Amis Group. 

Its festive menu ($66 for four courses) is a non traditional Christmas meal, without the usual turkey and what not, but the meal is just as enjoyable and celebratory. Warm up your belly with a potato leek soup crowed with a Hokkaido scallop, then dig into the juicy Lobster Thermidor topped with creamy cheese. 

For mains, choose between Black Cod in tangy tomato base,or a non-seafood signature that brims with intense umami flavour profile – a wonderfully braised Beef Tenderloin in Red Wine Sauce and king oyster mushroom, and end off your meal with a Christmas Cake dusted with cinnamon and gold powder for a sparkly, festive touch.

We recommend Brut Premier Cru as your wine pairing to elevate the taste for each dish.

Latest Recipe (Le Méridien Singapore, Sentosa)

Latest Recipe at Le Méridien Singapore, Sentosa is holding a beach-centric festive celebration at Sentosa. Name ‘Do-nut Worry Beach Happy’, it doesn’t rhymes well but it is buck for your buck featuring a myriad of fresh seafood and succulent meats.

Starts  from 21 to 23 December 2018, the buffet goes for S$88++ for adults and S$44++ for children (seven to 11 years old). To enjoy free-flow sparkling wine, beer and soft drinks, just top it up for S$30.  Nice option if you are planning to do something after the meal since there are many events happening around Sentosa.

Ash & Elm (InterContinental Singapore)

A G Restaurant Awards of Excellence winner Ash & Elm is a vibrant restaurant focused on European dining with a selection of sharing platters, house-cured and Michelin Guide-recommended premium meats, as well as sustainably-sourced seafood, it’s a place for you to break the bank.

If you don’t mind spending a bomb, Ash & Elm at InterContinental Singapore is for you. Well-known for their theatrical dining space, that allows you to witness the three culinary stations that prepare their dishes.

Their buffet menu starts at S$188++ for unlimited Taittinger Brut Champagne, Christmas cocktails, house wines, beers, soft drinks and juices, coffee and tea; or S$148++ for unlimited Christmas cocktails, soft drinks, juices, coffee and tea; and S$48++ per child, which includes unlimited soft drinks and juices) . You can camp there the whole day liao.

The menu offered will be from their special a la carte Festive Signatures like Slow-grilled Iberico Pork Chop, Australian Lamb Saddle and Braised Beef Cheek.

Botanico

Tucked away within the well-preserved 1920s garage lies a modern colonial design house with infused with Asian culture. Botanico serves seasonal cuisine inspired by the rich flora and fauna that surrounds it. Botanico at The Garage features a lush indoor dining space and an alfresco, air-cooled bar and lounge surrounded by plenty of greenery. Singaporean chef Sujatha Asokan at the helm in the kitchen, their dishes has a East-West synergy.

Their 7-course Communal Dinner Menu cost $88++, that includes a special turkey smoked with oak chips, Red Bass with wing bean and dried anchovies, Wagyu Bavette and finish off with desert. The full menu can be found here.

Racines Sofitel Singapore City Centre is going Oh La La this Christmas with their French haute couture inspired culinary celebration Providing a tailor made dining experiences for a special Christmas in Singapore 2019. fine tune to perfection, Racines transform itself into a charming Christmas atelier offering a collection of yuletide menus, treats and cocktails designed by Chef Jean-Charles Dubois and Head Mixologist Michael Mendoza.

Their Christmas Couture Buffet Specials is available for dinner on Christmas Eve and a lively brunch on Christmas Day.

With dishes like ravioli stuffed with winter harvest truffles,  favourite Racines’ signature pan-seared foie gras with kumquat marmalade prepared at the live station and escargot wok-kissed in parsley butter and topped with a mild béarnaise, all this exquisite dishes are abundant to feast on.

And from the Chinese kitchen come spicy pepper-roasted glazed pork ribs and alongside a medley of scallops and prawns stir-fried in chilli crab sauce. Desert includes exquisite white chocolate toffee with pear compote, coconut mousse with passionfruit and banana cremeux and many more!

The Line, Shangri-La Hotel

This place is huge with a 400-seat restaurant designed with modern seafoam and white colour schemes dreamt up by designer Adam Tihany.

 A warm orange partnered with crisp white liven the They have 16 theatre kitchens that create the amazing spread with each chef whip up the delish spread and doing their magic behind the kitchen.
